Safeguarding & Safety
Last Updated: 3rd July 2026
HeartTouch Wellbeing CIC is committed to creating safe, respectful and supportive spaces for everyone who takes part in our activities.
Our Approach
Our work is based on compassion, consent, respect and careful attention to each person's needs and boundaries.
We recognise that some people who attend our groups, workshops or programmes may be experiencing emotional distress, mental health difficulties, trauma, disability, illness or other forms of vulnerability.
Safeguarding
We are committed to maintaining appropriate safeguarding practices when working with adults at risk, families, carers, volunteers and partner organisations.
Anthony Fidler, founder and Director of HeartTouch Wellbeing CIC, holds an Enhanced DBS certificate for working with adults.
Consent and Boundaries
Some HeartTouch activities may involve compassionate touch, partner work or relational exercises. Participation is always optional, and people are encouraged to listen to their own needs and boundaries.
No one is required to take part in touch-based or partner-based exercises. Alternatives can be offered wherever possible.
Working with Partner Organisations
When we work with charities, healthcare services, community organisations or other partners, we aim to follow the safeguarding policies and reporting procedures of the host organisation, alongside our own commitment to safe and respectful practice.
Professional Standards
HeartTouch Wellbeing CIC is committed to maintaining high professional standards across all of its activities.
Anthony Fidler maintains appropriate professional insurance for the services provided. He also undertakes ongoing professional development, drawing on more than twenty years' experience teaching embodied wellbeing practices in the UK and internationally.
