Introducing HeartTouch
HeartTouch Embodied Mindfulness is a practical approach to wellbeing that cultivates embodied mindfulness through presence, compassionate human connection and simple embodied practices.
Through workshops and courses, participants develop greater embodied awareness, emotional regulation, resilience and authentic human connection.
The principles and practices of HeartTouch provide the practical foundation for the work of HeartTouch Wellbeing CIC. They underpin our HeartTouch programmes, Weathering Storms and Resource Balance, with each applying them to different areas of wellbeing and human experience.

What is Embodied Mindfulness?
Embodied mindfulness is a way of being in which we feel deeply rooted in our bodies, fully present to our experience and warmly connected with ourselves and those around us.
As body and mind become more deeply integrated, wellbeing, resilience and authentic human connection naturally emerge.
HeartTouch helps people cultivate this way of being through gentle embodied practices that can be integrated into everyday life.

Learning Through Experience
HeartTouch begins with our shared human experience. We all experience moments of pleasure, pain and neutrality, and our relationship with these experiences profoundly shapes our wellbeing.
Rather than focusing primarily on ideas or theories, participants learn directly through embodied practice.
Simple movement, mindful awareness, reflection and shared practice help people reconnect with themselves, with others and with the body's natural capacity for self-regulation.
Presence and Compassionate Human Connection
HeartTouch places particular emphasis on developing compassionate connection through direct embodied experience.

Rather than relying primarily on reflective or imaginative practices, participants explore compassion through presence, movement, shared practice and, in some workshops, compassionate touch.
In this way, compassion becomes something that is experienced and embodied, not simply thought about.
Mindful and Compassionate Touch
Alongside solo embodied mindfulness practices, some HeartTouch workshops include opportunities to explore simple forms of compassionate touch as a mindfulness practice.

These practices are always optional and are approached with clear boundaries, mutual respect and complete choice.
They are not therapeutic techniques, but ways of cultivating presence, compassion and genuine human connection through direct embodied experience.
The intention is not to heal another person, but simply to meet them with mindful, compassionate presence.
When both people feel reasonably grounded and emotionally regulated, this quality of meeting can begin to feel natural and effortless. Within this atmosphere of safety and trust, experiences of greater ease, regulation and wellbeing may arise naturally.
